Eliot Porter

  • Born 1901 Eliot Porter was an american photographer and biochemical researcher at Harvard university. He developed an interest in photography early on, first in black and white, latter moving on to color using the dye transfer technique. Once porter had become more accomplished as a photographer he left Harvard to pursue his career in art full time. Porter died in 1990 in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
  • I very much enjoyed Eliot Porters photographs. I think that porter clearly loved with an equal passion his art and nature. Most of his work are of wildlife and vividly captured pieces of forests, swamps and sea. He seemed especially found of colorful birds in flight.
