George Condo

  •  Condo is a prominent contemporary artist born in 1957, he studies Art History and Music Theory at the University of Massachusetts in Lowell. He later moved to New York to pursue a career as a visual artist. Condo works mostly in Painting, Drawing, sculpture and print making. His art has been deemed Artificial Realism for his use of classical painting methods but portraying a much more contemporary ideologies.
  • George Condo was exhibited at the Arsenale Pavilion of the Biennale I remember seeing only one of his painting (shown to the right) called listen to maternal voices. This painting showed a great deal of technical competency in the brush work as well as subtleties in color changes. The subject mater alone I found intriguing. the portrayal of mother bird as a fragile, week sort of creature yet with all her jewels and fine red clothing... Valuable.
