R. Crumb

  • Born 1943 Robert Crumb is an American cartoonist and musician know for his alternative style of cartooning. Sometimes seen as controversial for his depictions of women and racial minorities. Crumb found success in the underground comix movement where he produced some of his most notable illustrations and recognizable characters.
  • R. Crumb's work was displayed in a large doughnut shaped room with hundreds of illustrations depicting an illustrated version of the book of genesis. I originaly did not think to add Crumb to my blog but after seeing his work in person I was impressed with the shear dedication he had to this single project and the detail he put in every illustration. I also just enjoyed reading reading some of the commentary he made in his drawings, it was quite amusing.
